Fighting weight is hard. When achieving success is difficult, it’s normal to want to try different weight loss methods just to achieve the body you’ve always wanted. Instead of wasting time and effort following wrong strategies, see which weight loss tips you shouldn’t trust and which weight loss methods don’t work.
Strategy #1 – Avoid carbs to melt fat
It is a popular belief that carbohydrates are the enemy that must be eliminated to lose weight. This is not true. This is true only for sugars and refined carbohydrates, but not for natural natural products that contain beneficial carbohydrates, such as fruits and vegetables.
Carbohydrates do not cause weight gain if the right ones are consumed. These are whole grain foods high in slow breaking carbohydrates, such as sweet potatoes, oats and quinoa. They even help in weight reduction.
Strategy #2 – Drink weight loss supplements
Research shows that 34% of people who are trying to lose weight have used a dietary supplement to lose weight or accelerate fat loss at some point in their lives. Unfortunately, many supplements have very little effect in suppressing appetite and speeding up metabolism. Most of them do not help in achieving the goals.
Strategy #3 – Do more exercise for weight loss
It is quite enough to do one-hour workouts a few times a week to lose weight. Overdoing exercise has the opposite effect. This approach stresses the body, provokes it to slow down the metabolism to cope with it, besides causing loss of muscle mass.
Strategy #4 – Vegetarianism or veganism for weight loss
Some people choose to eliminate meat and animal products, believing them to be the most caloric and weight-causing. However, the proteins and fats in these products are vital for the body. They build cells and are involved in a number of metabolic processes. It is enough to stop consuming processed foods and packaged products containing harmful ingredients to lose weight.
Strategy #5 – Eating several small portions
This is one of those nutrition and weight loss myths that will never go away. There are always its proponents who advise eating less but often. The truly effective weight loss strategy is controlling the number and type of calories you take in. If it does not exceed the energy expenditure, weight loss will happen effectively and faster.
