You’re the one you’re supposed to live with all your life. That’s why your relationship with yourself is so incredibly important. Unfortunately, not loving yourself and your body is extremely common in today’s society. But we can work on it, and we really should. Because you are the most important thing in your own life. Here are some tips on how to improve your relationship with yourself and your body.
Clean up
Get rid of EVERYTHING that makes you feel bad. Unfollow any accounts you follow on Instagram that don’t make you feel positive and search for “body positivism” instead – you’ll find amazing girls who love their bodies in any shape! And you? Give away those pants you’re “supposed to get into for Christmas”. Save only clothes you love to wear and give away clothes that don’t make you feel good.
Treat yourself like you treat others
Do you think your friends are “ugly”? Do you tell them they should start going to the gym or go on diets? Probably not. So what makes it okay for you to think that way about yourself? You deserve just as much love as everyone else.
Hang out with people who give you positive energy
Think about it: are you really bubbly and happy when you go home from your friends, or do you feel a little down and insecure? If you’re the latter, you might want to think about whether hanging out with these people is really good for you. Maybe you should broaden your horizons on the friendship front?
Turn it around
If you’re walking around thinking that your body is ugly – try to reverse the thought and replace the negative with the positive. Your body is so damn amazing, do you understand that? Your body carries you every day, it can dance, heal, run, just to name a few things. There are so many more positives than negatives, if you just change your attitude.
Once again, you are beautiful just the way you are, my dearest one.
