Ingredients

  • 185g butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 cup custard powder
  • 80g Caramilk chocolate, melted and cooled, to serve
  • Filling
  • 125g butter
  • 150g (1 cup) icing sugar mixture
  • 100g Caramilk chocolate, melted and cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). Line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Cookie Dough
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.Sift together the flour and cornstarch. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape the Cookies
Roll small portions of the dough (about a teaspoon each) into balls. Place them on the prepared trays, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Gently press each ball with a fork to create a decorative pattern.
  4. Bake the Cookies
Bake the cookies for 12–15 minutes, or until they are just set and pale golden. Allow them to cool on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Prepare the Caramilk Filling
In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and mix until smooth. Stir in the melted Caramilk chocolate and vanilla extract, beating until light and fluffy.
  6. Assemble the Melting Moments
Pair the cooled cookies by size. Pipe or spread a generous amount of Caramilk filling onto the flat side of one cookie, then sandwich with its partner. Repeat with the remaining cookies.
  7. Serve and Enjoy
Store the assembled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Tips for Perfect Caramilk Melting Moments

  • Chill the Dough: If the dough is too soft to handle, refrigerate it for 10–15 minutes before shaping.
  • Smooth Filling: Ensure the melted Caramilk is fully cooled before adding it to the butter to avoid curdling.
  • Decorate: Dust the tops with powdered sugar or drizzle with extra melted Caramilk for an elegant finish.

These Caramilk Melting Moments are a decadent blend of buttery cookies and creamy Caramilk filling that will simply melt in your mouth. Perfect for a tea party, gifting, or indulging on your own, they’re sure to become a favorite!
